Paulette Rao is a highly sought-after leadership coach for major corporations worldwide. As the founder of True North Resources, her coaching consultancy, Paulette helps leaders enhance their performance and the performance of their teams while achieving organizational objectives.

Paulette's leadership coaching is informed by her 28 years of experience as a senior executive and marketing leader in corporate America. She was a Managing Director for Marsh, the world's largest risk services firm, where she led the Mercer Northeast employee benefits division and was responsible for its P&L. She was one of only 100 female managing directors at Marsh. In this role, she coached hundreds of marketing professionals, helping them establish and develop significant relationships with their clients.

As a Board Certified and Master Certified Coach, Paulette works with senior executives and high-potential leaders at Fortune 500 companies and smaller organizations to help them refine their skills, improve performance, and develop others within their organization. While she predominantly coaches senior male executives, she has also gained recognition for her work with female leaders, helping them grow in confidence, mindset, and skillset to reach their unique leadership potential.

Paulette specializes in an evidence-based coaching approach, helping leaders transform how they think, communicate, manage, and lead. She integrates coaching into corporate settings to improve conversational skills, talent development, retention, performance, and leadership. Her solution-focused, self-directed learning model is heavily informed by leadership theory, systems science, psychology, change principles, learning theory, and contemporary neuroscience.

She has worked with a broad range of industries to enhance management capabilities and incorporate coaching into business relationships. Her global engagements span India, Japan, Brazil, Mexico, Israel, Australia, South America, Canada, and the UK. Paulette has been a trainer for the NeuroLeadership Institute, Franklin Covey Southeast Asia, and Ken Blanchard Companies, three of the most high-profile global coaching firms. She is currently part of the coaching faculty at Korn Ferry and GSK.

She holds a B.A. in Education and an Advanced Leadership Certificate from the Bell Leadership Institute. She is certified by New York University as an Executive and Organizational Coach and serves as an Adjunct Professor and Curriculum Developer in the Coaching Certification Program, where she received the 2014 NYU Violet Award for Teaching Excellence. She has achieved the designation of Master Certified Coach (MCC) through the International Coach Federation (ICF) and is a Past President of the New York City ICF Chapter. She is also a Founding Fellow of the Harvard Institute of Coaching (IOC).

Paulette was inducted into the YWCA’s New York Academy of Women Achievers in 2002 for her transformational leadership after the attacks on NYC on September 11, 2001.
