Biography

Suzi Pomerantz, MT., MCC, CEO of Innovative Leadership International LLC, has been recognized as one of America’s Top Executive Coaches for 2025 by Top Coach Awards. An award-winning executive leadership coach, international bestselling author, and global thought leader, Suzi ranks among the top 4% of credentialed coaches worldwide. For over three decades, she has helped executives and organizations create clarity within chaos through strategic coaching, leadership innovation, and organizational transformation.

A pioneer in the profession, Suzi was one of the first 35 Master Certified Coaches credentialed globally by the International Coach Federation (ICF) and has served on numerous international advisory boards advancing the field of organizational coaching. Over the past 32 years leading her firm, her customized executive coaching and leadership strategy work has taken her from the NIH to Fortune 100 executive suites, and from the forests of Kansas to the deserts of Niger in West Africa. Her client portfolio spans more than 300 organizations across government, nonprofit, and corporate sectors—including Accenture, Deloitte, DuPont, Goldman Sachs, American Express Financial Advisors, Toyota, the FBI, the U.S. Department of Treasury, USAID, MedImmune, Pfizer, and over a hundred leaders and scientists across the National Institutes of Health.

Suzi’s results-based approach blends strategic insight with deep interpersonal acumen. Her coaching has been credited with transforming cultures, increasing executive visibility and influence, and driving measurable organizational outcomes. Her work with DuPont helped pioneer the nationally acclaimed DuPont Legal Model, cutting outside legal expenses by 48% and saving the company more than $50 million. She has also guided professional services firms in shifting from command-and-control leadership to collaborative partnership cultures, increasing engagement by 89%, and supported healthcare leadership teams in winning multimillion-dollar contracts.

Her coaching clients—ranging from C-suite executives and entrepreneurs to attorneys, PhD scientists, and government leaders—consistently cite outcomes such as increased confidence, improved strategic visibility, enhanced influence, and greater balance between performance and well-being. Senior executives value her as a confidential thought partner who brings precision, candor, and strategic clarity to complex leadership challenges.

Suzi has contributed significantly to the evolution of coaching as both a practitioner and an industry architect. In 2007, she co-founded the Library of Professional Coaching, now the world’s largest free digital library for the field. She currently serves as Strategic Advisor to the Editorial Board of choice, the magazine of professional coaching, and as an advisor to the Harvard Business Review’s Advisory Council and the international journal Philosophy of Coaching. Her career has also included founding board roles and training leadership for the International Consortium for Coaching in Organizations (ICCO), the International Professional Coaching Publications Association, and the Executive Coaching Summit.

As an author and educator, Suzi has published more than 75 works and co-authored 11 books, including her international bestseller Seal the Deal: The Essential Mindsets for Growing Your Professional Services Business (HRD Press, 2006). Her insights on leadership, ethics, and business development have appeared in the Washington Post, Washington Business Journal, and Forbes, where she is a long-time contributor. She has been a featured faculty member and speaker at leading universities and coaching programs, including George Mason University, Rutgers University, the Hudson Institute, and the Gestalt Center for Organization and Systems Development.

Her excellence has been recognized through numerous industry distinctions, including the ICF Global Board Chair’s Award, the Platinum Coach Designation from the Association for Coaching Excellence, and the 2024 Lee Salmon Sustainable Leadership Award. She has also been named among the Top 50 Women Leaders of DC, the Coaching Top 50 by Corporate Vision Magazine, and the Top 200 Coaches to Follow by Six Figure Coach Magazine.

A graduate of the University of Virginia, where she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees and was honored as a Lawn Resident in Thomas Jefferson’s Academic Village, Suzi continues to serve as a mentor, speaker, and advocate for the global coaching community. Her legacy includes not only the leaders she’s helped transform, but the frameworks she’s established to elevate coaching as a profession worldwide.

With over 32 years in business, Suzi Pomerantz remains a defining force in executive coaching—uniting strategy, humanity, and measurable results to help leaders at every level bring vision to action and excellence to impact.
